Avocado Toast

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 roma tomato

  • 1 Trader Joes Multigrain slims

  • Everything but the Bagel Seasoning


  1. Toast both halves of the TJ multigrain slim sandwich bread.

  2. While it's toasting, cut an avocado in half, and then carefully make 1/4 inch slices down the avocado. Then, do the same horizontally so that it makes cubes.

  3. Cut the roma tomato long ways into 1/4 inch slices. You'll need 4 slices total.

  4. Once the bread is toasted, place both halves face up on a plate and then lay two tomato slices on each half.

  5. Scoop out one half of the avocado on one side of the bread. Then, do the same for the other. Spread it out evenly.

  6. Sprinkle a generous amount of Everything but the Bagel seasoning annnd your done!

Bonus Thoughts:

I hope you're reading this while you're eating it. I make some version of this avocado toast almost every day. I'm obsessed with the crunchiness of the toast with the cold creamy avocado texture. And the flavor from the seasoning is so savory. The only down side is it is a tony bit hard to eat but if you pick it up carefully and eat it without tipping the bread to the side, it's not too bad. 

In the photo, I have it sliced because I used to do it that way until I realized cubing the avocado makes it a lot easier to manage. I kept the photo though because it looked prettier. Ha, sorry! 

Looking for alternatives? Here are a few:

  • Leave the tomatoes out.

  • Add a fried egg on top.

  • Change the season and try Trader Joe's Chili Lime seasoning. Equally delish.

  • Replace tomatoes with salsa.

  • Add smoked salmon.
